Why Video?

Stories are the most powerful form of human communication. It’s science. Our brains have been hard-wired over millennia to process stories differently than other data – which causes people to learn better. It also increases perceived value, brand loyalty – and can even change behaviors and how people view themselves and the world. At our core we are storytellers.

Whether we produce a TV commercial, marketing video, or documentary we do so in a way that is strategic, intentional, and drives results.

The Challenge

Ricos Nacho Cheese Sauce is a product that just about everyone has eaten at the ballpark on top of corn chips. Ricos wanted to capitalize on its iconic status and let customers know that its products aren’t only for the concession stand – Ricos sauces can be used to make a variety of recipes at home. Ricos came to us wanting a “turnkey” national TV commercial to encourage customers to buy its products in the grocery store.

The Process

Ricos Nacho Cheese Sauce evokes a nostalgic feel – reminding us of fun, family, and flavor. We drew upon those feelings by creating a script and storyboard that tells a story through the eyes of a young girl and her association with the product.

Our team cast talent, conducted location scouting, and handled all aspects of production.

3.

We edited and color graded the TV spots as well as added music and sound design.

Our Results

We created two television spots; a 30 second and a 15 second version. Ricos says since the television spot started airing, the company has experienced record sales in their cheese sauce products. While we can’t attribute all those sales to the commercial, we like to think we helped.
