Animated Explainer Video
CPS Energy needed a clear way to explain how electricity and natural gas reach customers across its service area. The organization partnered with The IMG Studio to turn that complex process into an approachable animated explainer video.
The animation follows electricity from generation facilities through transmission lines, substations, transformers, and local distribution systems. It also traces natural gas from supplier delivery points to underground pipelines, service lines, and customer meters. Each sequence helps viewers understand infrastructure that usually remains out of sight.
CPS Energy brought an existing educational flyer to the project as the visual foundation. Our team adapted the flyer’s illustration style, color palette, and visual language for motion. This approach kept the animation aligned with CPS Energy’s established materials and streamlined the design phase. It also allowed more production time for movement, clarity, and pacing.
